The Lactation OT Inner Circle
Your clients depend on you, and we’re here to support you as you provide the most effective, evidence-based care possible.
LET US GUESS...
You've felt drawn to work with breastfeeding dyads, but stuck trying to figure out how to blend a therapy background with lactation.... until now. We've created the solution for you.
And you've probably found yourself wondering:
- What else might be missing from therapy education to work with breastfeeding dyads ➝ Imposter syndrome
- You've tried to learn more through self-study before and failed to implement the information ➝ Difficulty managing complex cases
- You're afraid that it's not feasible to make a livable wage ➝ Billing confusion
THE WORLD OF THERAPY AND LACTATION CAN BE OVERWHELMING
We don't know how therapists try and figure this out alone. We know it can feel lonely...
...and so we created a way for this to be less isolating.
WE HOPE THIS GROUP MENTORSHIP PROGRAM WILL BRING YOU MORE CONNECTION
We know this program will be an incredible addition to your journey in this specialty area.
Imagine if...
- You knew of a judgment-free space to ask questions about your clinical cases
- You had a consistent flow of essential resources to support your work
- You could finally connect with other therapists who also shared your passion and dedication to this specialty
What if it was all done for less - we know the 1:1 mentorship is not in the budget for so many.
WHAT IF YOU HAD TWO THERAPISTS GUIDING YOU THROUGH AND DIDN'T ALWAYS HAVE TO QUESTION 'WHAT NEXT'?
STOP PIECIENG A PLAN TOGETHER
Graduate school did not prepare us to work with mothers and infants in this capacity. It's a sign of an amazing clinician to continue finding support to elevate their care for their clients.
WHAT IF THE SUPPORT AND CONNECTION YOU DESIRED cost LESS THAN lunch with a friend
Over the years, through supporting clinicians to get started in lactation and become IBCLCs (if desired), we've learned where support and guidance are needed most.
Unlike other programs that claim to support infant feeding, this mentorship focuses on the dyad because breastfeeding and infant feeding require the participation of two people - infant and parent.
Finding mentorship is invaluable to your journey in lactation.
Imagine dramatically reducing the learning curve. It took us years, extensive resources, and thousands of hours with our mentors to reach our current level of practice. If you want us to help you reach your professional goals faster, we've created a solution for you.

DYADS. NEED. YOU.
And just who are the mentors in the inner circle?
DAIRIAN ROBERTS, MS, OTR/L, IBCLC, PMH-C
Dairian received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine and completed her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. A lover of biomechanics, Dairian immediately specialized in hand therapy post-graduation.
After years in hand therapy (private practice and outpatient hospital), she transitioned from splints and casting to postpartum support and feeding babies. Motherhood will do that to you. Immediately after the birth of her first child, Dairian trained in traditional postpartum care and homeopathy. Determined to provide equitable care for lactation after her own racially biased care, she completed the CLEC program.
Dairian continued to receive further certification as a newborn care specialist as well as multiple manual therapy techniques. She is a passionate advocate for Black maternal health equity – providing high-quality, highly specialized, accessible care within her community.
Dairian lives in Los Angeles, CA with her husband, son, daughter, and family pet, Fire Dragon, a bearded dragon lizard.
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” -Maya Angelou
MARISSA YAHIL, MSOT, OTR/L, IBCLC
From a young age, Marissa was exposed to an alternative way of thinking about health and wellness through her parents’ wellness-focused marketing company. Marissa attended Brandeis University where she dedicated her studies to Psychology and Public Health with an emphasis on maternal/child health and child development. During and after college Marissa worked with children 0-5 years old both privately with families and at a child development center.
Ultimately, Marissa earned her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at Salus University. While in graduate school, Marissa was fortunate to participate in fieldwork at the Breastfeeding Resource Center in the greater Philadelphia suburbs. It was there that she learned that breastfeeding does not seem to come easily (or go as planned) for the majority of families.
Partnering with families to meet their lactation and infant feeding goals has become Marissa’s passion and life work. She is so honored to be able to combine her knowledge and skills in order to offer a unique approach to resolving lactation and infant feeding difficulties.
Marissa lives in Dallas, TX, is married to her college sweetheart, and is the mother of two beautiful children, a daughter — Aurora, and a son — Ezra.

"Marissa was able to provide the missing link between theory and real life clinical practice with very practical tips and tricks to help me help new mamas. The journey of learning and professional development is definitely ongoing, but knowing that I have Marissa as a mentor to turn to with questions has provided an enormous sense of support and helped me to build my confidence in my practice. I am blessed to be able to mentor with Marissa not only for her knowledge and skill but to be guided by a therapist that is strong in evidence and surrounded with compassion for her clients."

"If you work anywhere near the lactation or infant feeding space, you likely know who Dairian is. And if you don't, you must! Dairian is the best at everything she does. She won't tell you this herself, so I will. Let me break this down for you in case you're thinking of working with her. Dairian is a super smart human & business owner. She gives the best, most practical and actionable advice. Dairian is down to earth, kind, humble and ALSO really freakin good at her job(s). She's always innovating, iterating and learning; never thinks she knows everything and knows exactly who to refer out to when she thinks someone else would be a better fit. That's the sign of an amazing provider and teacher. You want to learn from someone like this!"

"To have someone not only foster encouragement but lay out a step by step path for making your dreams comes true — all tied together nicely with a bow of passion and determination — leaves you feeling like you won the dream job guidance lottery (that's a thing right?). Since my mentorship from Marissa began, the puzzle pieces have began to seamlessly fall into place. I can go on and on with praise for Marissa as a mentor, but you can see it for yourself as her passion shines through everything she does! If my story resonates with you and you're ready to take a leap to reach those seemingly out of reach "dream career paths", then I highly recommend your first (and most important) step be to hire Marissa!"

"The first time I met Dairian in person I was super fan girling and nervous to say hello - I am so glad we chatted, because in just our first hour of interacting I learned SO much from her. She's my go to for all kinds of business and work advice. I also really appreciate that Dairian is culturally humble, inclusive and can relate to people from all walks of life. This is so rare these days! Whether you're considering working with Dairian for your baby OR for your business you cannot go wrong - she's THE BEST!"
