Kayla Richardson M.S., CCC-SLP, IBCLC
Kayla is a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She spent her early career working in pediatric feeding outpatient clinics, as well as providing in-home early intervention feeding and swallowing therapy.
After struggling to breastfeed her own 2 children, Kayla pursued her IBCLC and opened her own practice to serve her community using a therapeutic approach to lactation and infant feeding. She is passionate about bringing high level feeding support to the parents in her community and around the globe.
Kayla is the co-owner of The Abeille Feeding Clinic, a multidisciplinary lactation focused therapy practice in St. Louis, MO and runs Feeding Baby STL, a free weekly infant feeding support group for parents. Her online platform is used to support parents by educating them, building community, and encouraging them to advocate for themselves and their babies. Kayla uses her clinical knowledge creatively by partnering with baby brands to design products that can facilitate good feeding and orofacial development.
Kayla believes that to provide the best care as a clinician, you must never stop being a student. She considers herself a clinician, a business woman, and an innovator.
